CORPORATE STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITY

We are committed to the welfare and health and safety of all our employees and contractors and to delivering socially and environmentally responsible products to our customers.

The Directors recognise the importance and implications of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. It is our policy that all reasonably practicable steps will be taken to protect employees, customers, contractors and any other persons who enter our premises wherever they are situated. This information will be communicated to all concerned to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

We work in partnership with all our partners factories and suppliers, both in the UK and overseas, to ensure that workplace standards, health and safety, fair pay and fair employment conditions are complied with. All major suppliers who work with us are issued with a Supplier Standards requirement incorporating clauses on human rights, the environment and ethical trading standards, based on the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) code.

A supplier must adhere to this Contract in order to be allowed to supply us. We conduct a routine of planned visits and physical inspections to ensure our supply chain is in compliance.

It is our goal to constantly improve the company’s environmental performance and to manage the company’s activities to prevent and minimise wherever practicable, the effects of those activities on the environment. We aim to meet and where possible, exceed the requirements of all relevant environmental legislation and strives to make good environmental practice a priority.

The packaging we use for our production is routinely under review to increase the use of reusable or recyclable, sustainable supplies.
